Tony Khan More Open To Introducing AEW Trios Title When Kenny Omega Returns
An AEW Trios Title has been discussed for years
Seemingly since AEW’s inception, talk of trios titles has been constant amongst fans.
With a bevvy of trios teams in AEW such as Death Triangle, and The House of Black amongst others, there is definitely a scene there for the belts to exist, and during the pre-Revolution media call, Tony Khan gave his thoughts on AEW Trios Titles:
"It's something there is a lot of interest in,” said Khan in response to a question from Sean Ross Sapp. “I've seen that. We have a lot of great trios here. I am very interested in it, I'll be 100% honest, this is the most-blunt answer I can give, I'm much more receptive to doing it when Kenny Omega is back because I think that is going to happen. When Kenny Omega is back, the trios division is that much stronger. We could do a great tournament now and have a great trios division, but he would make it that much stronger, and I have so much respect for him and he was such a great champion for us and we could have by far the best trios division that anybody could put together with how strong our roster is and how many trios are already together and have experience working together and I would love for Kenny Omega to be a part of it.”
