Tony Khan Rejects Wrestling In AEW

No wrestling in AEW for Tony Khan

Tony Khan recently got physical in an All Elite Wrestling ring for the first time, with Khan taking a gut punch from the Elite’s Jack Perry before eating a TK Driver from The Young Bucks in a highly publicised angle.

Khan had mentioned in the past that he never intended on becoming a full-time on-screen character in AEW, and when pressed by Cincy 360, Khan reiterated that he is no wrestler, saying the following:

“AEW is where the best wrestle, and we mean that… in this case, I’m not the best person to pay those people back,” Khan said. “There's a lot of things I’m good at behind the scenes but somebody else is gonna have to avenge what those guys did not only to me but to Kenny Omega... I’m quite sure there are more capable wrestlers than I am that can inflict some of that punishment on The Young Bucks and Jack Perry and Okada, The Elite.”

Khan continued: “After what happened to me last time, I don’t think I’d be making a smart move trying that.”

Kenny Omega was also attacked by The Elite after their assault on Khan, and Omega will seemingly be doing his best Tony Khan impression on the May 8 Dynamite with an ‘Important Announcement’.
