Tony Schiavone Wants AEW To Use Ian Riccaboni More

Tony Schiavone wants to see more Ian Riccaboni in AEW

All Elite Wrestling commentator Tony Schiavone wants the promotion to use one of his broadcast colleagues.

Speaking on his What Happened When podcast, Schiavone praised Ring of Honor's Ian Riccaboni, calling him the second-best announcer in the business, and he wants to see AEW book Riccaboni more.

"As far as being an announcer, he is the second-best announcer next to Tony Schiavone. I think we need to use more of him. We've been using him on Elevation - he'll be on Elevation Monday with Paul Wight," Schiavone said.

If Riccaboni can do more dates with AEW is unknown, though, as he is actually the Director of Business Development at Labcorp Drug Development outside of pro wrestling.

Riccaboni first began commentating in Ring of Honor in 2015 and he later became the play-by-play announcer alongside Caprice Coleman. Riccaboni also provides commentary for NJPW STRONG and will do so through 2022.

Should Riccaboni leave his job, Schiavone believes he could be a full-time announcer for All Elite Wrestling.
