Ultimo Dragon Announces Launch Of Toryumon CASA

Ultimo Dragon has announced a new destination for Japanese talent

Wrestling legend Ultimo Dragon has announced the launch of Toryumon CASA.

Ultimo - who currently works as a wrestler and senior advisor for Japanese promotion Dragon Gate - announced the launch of the promotion in a press conference today.

Dragon previously ran the Toryumon Mexico training school and promotion between 1997 and 2004.

The legendary former WCW Cruiserweight Champion stated at the press conference that Toryumon CASA will act as a home base and learning excursion destination for a new generation of Japanese competitors not only from Dragon Gate, but also from promotions like Pro Wrestling NOAH. With NOAH now owned by CyberAgent and partly operated by DDT-Pro executives it remains to be seen if any DDT prospects will also wrestle and train under Ultimo Dragon's watchful eye.

Many of the students from Dragon's previous school went on to wrestle for the Toryumon promotion in Japan, which then become Dragon Gate, whilst New Japan standout and current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada was also a graduate from Ultimo's gym.
