Women's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic To Begin On Next Week's WWE NXT

On last week's edition of NXT, General Manager William Regal announced the first-ever Women's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic would take place later this year. 

It appeared the tournament was some time away, but WWE revealed last night that the tournament will begin on next week's NXT. Toni Storm & Mercedes Martinez will team together against Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter in the first match.

The other two teams announced for the tournament so far are Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon and Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell. 

Fans can expect to see a lot of tag team action on NXT in the coming weeks as the Men's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic kicked off last night. WWE debutants MSK, The Grizzled Young Veterans and The Undisputed ERA all won their first-round matches to advance in the tournament. 

The upcoming matches in the Men's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic are:  
• Tony Nese & Ariya Daivari vs. Desmond Troy & Ashante Adonis - Winner will face The Undisputed ERA 
• Kushida & Leon Ruff vs. Johnny Gargano & Austin Theory - Winner will face The Grizzled Young Veterans
• Drake Maverick & Killian Dain vs. August Grey & Curt Stallion - Winner will face MSK
• Imperium vs. Lucha House Party - Winner will face either Legado Del Fantasma or The Bollywood Boyz
• Legado Del Fantasma vs. The Bollywood Boyz - Will will face either Imperium or Lucha House Party
