WWE Running House Show On Same Day & City As AEW Worlds End In December
WWE and AEW are going head-to-head
AEW & WWE have gone head-to-head quite a few times over the last several years, with SmackDown going against Rampage, Dynamite and NXT engaging in the “Wednesday Night Wars”, and Collision often ongoing at the same time as WWE’s Saturday premium live events. In December, the two promotions will be going at it once more… and in the same area too.
It was announced during Friday’s episode of SmackDown in Orlando, Florida (per X user @MrJacobCohen) this week that WWE would be returning to the Kia Forum on December 28 of this year as part of the company’s 2024 Holiday Tour. This will not be the only event in Orlando on December 28.
AEW’s second annual Worlds End PPV later on in 2024 is scheduled to take place also on December 28 at the Addition Financial Arena on the University of Florida campus just around 15 to 20 miles away. This gives fans of both promotions a choice to make over whether to go with AEW or WWE on the night. WWE and AEW do not often run the same markets on the same day.
