WWE's Murphy Wants Dream Match With Kenny Omega, Omega Responds

Both Murphy and Kenny Omega revealed yesterday that they are open to facing each other in a singles match.

The former Cruiserweight Champion was holding a Q&A on Instagram and he admitted facing Omega would be a dream match of his outside of WWE. 

Omega then responded to Murphy's comment later in the day and said it would "be cool to mix it up with him."

He tweeted: "Murphy is the type of athlete I enjoy watching. Be cool to mix it up with him. Little known fact is that I almost played COD with him. I think Danny Limelight stole his spot. (Not surprising knowing what I know now about him)."

If the match will ever take place ultimately remains to be seen. Murphy is currently under contract with WWE, but he has rarely featured on TV since December and has only wrestled twice on SmackDown in 2021. Omega on the other hand is currently enjoying his belt collector character and will look to add the IMPACT World Championship to his collection on April 25 at Rebellion.
