12-Man Tag With Death Riders & Learning Tree Set For AEW Collision Maximum Carnage
A controversial match announcement for AEW Collision Maximum Carnage
Jan 13, 2025
The Death Riders and Learning Tree are set to team together on Saturday night's Maximum Carnage edition of AEW Collision.
AEW CEO Tony Khan has announced that Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli will team with the Learning Tree's Chris Jericho, Big Bill, and Bryan Keith to take on Cope, FTR, The Outrunners, and Powerhouse Hobbs.
The match prompted a furious reaction on social media, with many taking aim at the Death Riders storyline devolving into the faction teaming with Chris Jericho. The Death Riders have quickly lost steam at the top of All Elite Wrestling to the point there have been calls for Tony Khan to pull the plug on the programme and book Jon Moxley to drop the AEW World Championship.
The Death Riders storyline has been the top programme in All Elite Wrestling since All Out 2024. The creative process reportedly involves RJ City working with Jon Moxley and co. and Tony Khan retains final approval.
AEW Collision will be taped from the Andrew J. Brody Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio on Thursday, January 16. The show will air on Saturday, January 18 on TNT and Max. Tickets are still available for the taping.
The only other match scheduled for AEW Collision Maximum Carnage so far is Hangman Page vs. Christopher Daniels in a Texas Death Match.
