20-Woman Battle Royal & More Set For WWE NXT New Year's Evil

More set for WWE NXT New Year's Evil

Roxanne Perez's first challenger for the WWE NXT Women's Championship will be determined at the special New Year's Evil edition of NXT on January 10.

Toxic Attraction headed to the ring on the January 3 show and noted they would rebuild the faction, which eventually caused a brawl between the entire women's division. Perez then made her way into the Performance Center and announced a 20-Woman Battle Royal would take place next week. The winner will challenge her for the NXT Women's Championship at Vengeance Day in February.

Perez has been NXT Women's Champion since defeating Mandy Rose for the gold on December 13. Rose was released one day after dropping the title, reportedly due to what WWE considered explicit content on her FanTime page. Rose made $1 million from the page in December 2022.

Also added to New Year's Evil is a Tag Team Gauntlet Match as Pretty Deadly look to earn a shot at New Day's NXT Tag Team Championships, while Dijak will face Tony D'Angelo and Charlie Dempsey will go one on one with Hank Walker. Dempsey vs. Walker was originally scheduled for the January 3 show but it was noted that Dempsey was not cleared to compete, although he later removed his arm sling during Drew Gulak's match with Andre Chase.

Check out the updated New Year's Evil lineup below:

  • Bron Breakker (c) vs. Grayson Waller - NXT Championship
  • The Creed Brothers vs. Indus Sher
  • Tag Team Gauntlet Match with Pretty Deadly
  • Dijak vs. Tony D'Angelo
  • Charlie Dempsey vs. Hank Walker
  • 20-Woman Battle Royal for an NXT Women's Championship match
