AAA Unveils Lucha Libre-Inspired Football Shirts

Lucha football shirts on the way

Football teams in Mexico will adorn Lucha libre-inspired kits during the 2021/22 season. 

AAA announced a collaboration with football kit manufacturer Charly Futbol on Wednesday and Liga MX teams partnered with Charly will wear Lucha-themed kits for the current season. 

The apertura portion of Liga MX is set to wrap up in the coming weeks and the clausura season will get underway in January. 

Clubs with new lucha-themed shirts include Club Leon, Queretaro, Club Tijuana, Atlas FC, Santos Laguna and Pachuca. 

The new partnership was announced with the tagline, 'From The Ring To The Field.'

AAA Director-General Dorian Roldan also revealed luchadors inspired by the Liga MX teams will debut in AAA soon and the likes of Super Tuzo, El Academico and Leonidas will step inside the squared circle. 

AAA's next major show TripleMania Regia is only a few days away and will take place in Monterrey, Mexico on Saturday, December 4. A new AAA Mega Champion will be crowned when El Hijo del Vikingo, Samuray Del Sol, Jay Lethal, Bobby Fish and Bandido face off in a Five-Way for the title vacated by Kenny Omega.
