Absent AEW Star Not Believed To Be The Devil

A missing AEW star not believed to be behind The Devil mask

The backstage attacks by The Devil and their associates has been the main angle in All Elite Wrestling for a couple of months, with beatdowns by the savage cabal only intensifying in recent weeks.

We are still no closer to finding out who exactly is behind the Devil mask and orchestrating the attacks, but one name repeatedly linked with the role is that of Jack Perry, especially as many of the attacks have used ‘real’ glass. However, a report from Fightful Select suggests this speculation could be wide of the mark.

Per a ‘high level’ source within AEW, Perry is not believed to be The Devil, nor is he believed to be involved with the angle at all. The former ‘Jungle Boy’ has been absent from AEW TV since All In in August, with Perry suspended for his part in a backstage altercation with CM Punk.

Whilst Perry’s suspension is believed to have been up for some time, the report further suggests that he has not been backstage at AEW tapings. Obviously the nature of masked wrestlers in backstage angles means that the people portraying the characters can easily be swapped out before any reveal, so we’ll have to wait and see if Perry is involved or not.
