Adam Copeland Says There Are More Names He Wants To Face In AEW Than WWE

Adam Copeland ran out of opponents in WWE

Adam Copeland has been stealing the headlines in the last week or so after his arrival in AEW, signing with the company after spending the last 25 years in WWE. He has discussed several reasons behind the decision to make the switch, and in an interview on The Ringer Wrestling Show, he revealed another when asked about creative differences.

He discussed the fact that WWE had nothing for him following the end of the Judgment Day angle, and that he wanted more to do. He would offer more matches, though WWE felt that more appearances would make him less special. Copeland spoke about potential matches in both companies, with AEW being more appealing.

“Even in terms of wrestling the majority of the current roster, there wasn’t a whole list of names I could think of. I looked at the other roster, and there was. That’s not a knock on anybody, it just means I got to wrestle a lot of really great people in that three and a half, four years I was with WWE on this last run.”

Copeland has already highlighted names like Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland, and Kenny Omega.
