Tony Khan Explains Why He Announced Tickets Sold As AEW All In Attendance

Tony Khan's reveals why the 81,035 was used at AEW All In

The AEW All In London 2023 attendance has been a contentious topic amongst some people, with a whole load of different numbers being thrown around as the official tally.

On X, Dave Meltzer pondered over why AEW made the decision to run the number 81,035 as the paid attendance rather than going for the larger number of upwards of 85,000 due to that being the number of tickets distributed. Tony Khan replied to that, explaining the reasons behind pushing the 81,035 number.

“The reason I announced the actual paid attendance 81,035 tickets sold, instead of saying over 85,000 tix distributed, is because our 81,035 sold at AEW All In at Wembley Stadium in London is the all-time ticket sales record, whereas WCW North Korea shows hold tix distributed record.”

The actual number of fans in the arena is still up for debate, but it seems like AEW will continue highlighting the 81,035 tickets sold number due to it being one that breaks records.
