Adam Page Vs. Bryan Danielson Official For AEW Winter Is Coming
The title match is two weeks away
AEW World champion "Hangman" Adam Page will defend the championship against number one contender Bryan Danielson at "Winter is Coming", is a special edition of AEW Dynamite airing on December 15 in Garland, TX, as announced Wednesday night by AEW.
Danielson became number one contender for the championship after winning an eight man Eliminator tournament last month at Full Gear. He defeated Miro in the finals via technical submission.
On the same night, Page won the AEW World Heavyweight title, ending the near one year reign of Kenny Omega.
Since then, Danielson has made a point of brutalizing members of The Dark Order, whom are closely aligned with Page. Danielson defeated Evil Uno in a brief match on the November 17 episode of Dynamite, before going on to defeat Colt Cabana last Wednesday in similar fashion.
On tonight's Dynamite, Danielson takes on Alan "5" Angels of the group. Page will be on commentary (filling in for Jim Ross), and will be fined if he involves himself in the match in any way.
Winter is Coming will be the second AEW event with that name. It was at least year's event that Omega defeated Jon Moxley to win the AEW title.
