Adebayo Akinfenwa Recently Held Further Talks With WWE

Throughout his football career, Adebayo Akinfenwa has plied his trade for Northampton Town, AFC Wimbeldon and Gillingham and he is famous throughout the United Kingdom for his immense strength on the pitch. The Beast is still going strong at the age of 38 and he is currently enjoying his first season in the Championship with Wycombe Wanderers. 

Akinfenwa will eventually hang up his boots, and he revealed last year that he has had "conversations" with WWE. 

At the time, the striker told the company he planned to continue playing football but Akinfenwa revealed in an interview with talkSPORT that he and WWE held further talks recently.

"I've had a couple of calls recently in regards to that," the Football League star said. "I'll be following up on that soon – so it could go up or down depending on the outcome of that.

"I can't tell you a direct percentage in terms of that [coming to fruition], but it's something I'm really passionate about, so watch this space, people."
