AEW All In Texas is just several days away, and more light has been shed on scrapped plans for the show.
During the pre-All In media call, All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan alluded to the fact that Jamie Hayter was out with injury. In a follow-up report, Fightful Select have suggested there has been a domino effect with regards to booking plans for the show.
Hayter is believed to have picked up an injury at Double or Nothing back in May, and has not been cleared since. Hayter’s injury factored into the debut of Thekla in late May, with Hayter able to get physically involved in an angle that saw the debuting Thekla write Hayter off of TV. The angle was set up in the hopes that the two would work a programme when Hayter was cleared to compete. However, Hayter has been on the sidelines longer than initially expected, with AEW hoping to resume the feud when Hayter eventually returns, whenever that may be.
It hasn’t been disclosed as to what Hayter and Thekla would have done at All In, and as of writing, Thekla has not been confirmed for a match on the card on July 12.
The nature of Hayter’s current injury is also yet to be disclosed, but this latest setback will no doubt be a disappointment to the former AEW Women’s World Champion, with Hayter only returning to in-ring competition at All In 2024 after missing over a year of action due to back injuries.
