AEW Announce Women's Tag Team Cup Tournament: The Deadly Draw

Coming this summer...

On last night's episode of Dynamite, Mr. Brodie Lee trie to sow dissension between "Hangman" Adam Page and Kenny Omega, Eddie Kingston went one on one with Cody for the TNT Championship, and Sammy Guevara returned to the young promotion and helped The Inner Circle overcome Jurassic Express.

AEW also announced The Deadly Draw, a women's tag team cup tournament. Few details were revealed about the tournament, but a short vignette confirmed the cup will consist of eight teams and 16 women. No teams have been announced as of yet, but the vignette did show multiple women's wrestlers including Nyla Rose, Anna Jay, Penelope Ford, and Big Swole.

While women have previously competed in tag team matches on Dynamite, only one team has been created so far in The Nightmare Sisters. Brandi Rhodes and Allie started teaming together a few weeks ago after they were able to overcome their differences and Brandi reluctantly accepted the former Bunny wasn't trying to take advantage of QT Marshall. Whether or not they can stay on the same page remains to be seen, but they have amassed a 4-0 record so far against a variety of enhancement talent.
