AEW Announces Continental Challenge Cup, Final To Take Place At All In 2026

All Elite Wrestling have created a new tournament for the AEW Continental Championship, with the AEW Continental Challenge Cup set to begin on the August 8 episode of Collision.

The 16-man single-elimination tournament will culminate with a final at All In 2026 from Wembley Stadium on August 30, with the winner becoming the Continental Champion and the Continental Cup holder. Wrestlers announced for the tournament so far include AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley, Orange Cassidy, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong, and Nigel McGuinness.

There was some confusion around the Continental Cup after it was mentioned twice by Jon Moxley on Wednesday's episode of Dynamite, but the tournament was officially announced in a video package on Thursday's Collision. Plans have seemingly been in the works for the AEW Continental Cup for some time as the promotion filed to trademark 'Continental Cup' with the United States Patent and Trademark Office back in March.

The AEW Continental Cup is heavily inspired by the FA Cup to the point the trophies share overwhelming similarities. The FA Cup is an annual knockout football tournament with teams from across the English football pyramid, with the final being played at Wembley Stadium, traditionally to end the English football season although that has not necessarily been the case in recent years. Tony Khan's Fulham have never won the competition.
