AEW Announces Return Of Blood & Guts

AEW bringing back Blood & Guts later this Summer

All Elite Wrestling will be bringing back Blood & Guts later this Summer.

The June 12 episode of Dynamite opened with The Elite interrupting AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland, at which point the faction issued a challenge for anyone in the AEW locker room to face them in Blood & Guts. Matthew Jackson then tried to recruit Swerve Strickland for Blood & Guts, an offer that was rejected before Swerve ended up brawling with The Elite. The AEW EVPs and co. gained the upper hand before The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn made the save.

It was then announced later in the show that Blood & Guts will be held on the July 24 edition of Dynamite from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena. Tickets go on sale today as part of an initial pre-sale from 10 am CT.

Blood & Guts, AEW's version of WarGames, has been utilised by the promotion since 2020 although the first attempt at Blood & Guts didn't take place until 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. July 25 will be AEW's fourth Blood & Guts match.

Previous editions of Blood & Guts include 2021's Inner Circle vs. The Pinnacle, 2022's Jericho Appreciation Society vs. Blackpool Combat Club, and 2023's The Elite vs. Blackpool Combat Club.

One talent who won't be involved in 2024's Blood & Guts match is Dax Harwood as the former AEW World Tag Team Champion is currently out of action with a hematoma.
