All Elite Wrestling have hired a new Chief Operating Officer, the latest backstage move in the company following multiple recent releases and re-deployments.

Kosha Irby has joined the company as COO fresh from working as the Chief Marketing Officer for the Clemson University Athletic Department, a role Irby had held since February 2023. The hiring was initially reported by Fightful Select, and later corroborated by F4WOnline's Dave Meltzer.

Irby is no stranger to the professional wrestling business, having worked for WWE as Regional Director of Live Events for WWE from 2011 until 2018. His hire comes after the exits of former AEW Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Rafael Morffi, as well as that of former Chief Marketing and Merchandising Officer Dana Massie in late 2023.

Elsewhere in AEW, QT Marshall also recently finished up with the promotion, as did former Vice President of Post Production Kevin Sullivan, the latter move causing unhappiness within the organisation.

AEW are hoping for a positive 2024 after a certainly ‘mixed’ 2023. Despite highs in the form of All In Wembley Stadium and the addition of Collision to the company’s broadcast output, the promotion is in somewhat of a cool period in the eyes of the average fan, with decreasing attendances common.
