AEW Battle Of The Belts XII Spoilers

Along with Saturday night's edition of AEW Collision, All Elite Wrestling taped Battle of the Belts XII on Thursday night from the Adventist Health Arena in Stockton, California. BOTB XII will air on Saturday night following Collision.

SPOILERS AHEAD

With Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness on commentary, Battle of the Belts opened with a Continental Championship match between Kazuchika Okada and Kyle O'Reilly. The match almost reached the 20-minute time limit but Okada was able to pick up a hard-fought victory over KOR before the buzzer.

The second match of the night was certainly a random one as Brian Cage and Lance Archer defeated Jack Cartwheel and Jon Cruz. Don Callis announced on Dynamite earlier this week that Cage and Archer plan to pursue the AEW World Tag Team Titles.

In the main event, Anna Jay defeated AEW Women's World Champion Mariah May in an Eliminator Match. As a result of her win, Jay will challenge May for the women's title at a future event.

If Saturday night will be the final edition of Battle of the Belts is currently up in the air. The show's future is in doubt after it was not included within AEW's new TV deal with Warner Bros. Discovery which begins in January 2025.
