AEW Carries Out Major Talent Releases

AEW carries out mass releases

For the first time since the promotion was founded back in 2019, All Elite Wrestling have carried out a mass set of releases.

Across reports from PWInsider and Fightful, it was noted that the following talents have been let go by AEW and they are immediately free agents:

  • The Tate Twins (AKA The Boys)
  • Anthony Henry
  • Stu Grayson
  • Dasha Fuentes
  • Slim J
  • Parker Boudreaux
  • Jose The Assistant
  • Jora Johl
  • Gravity

There is no word on if All Elite Wrestling will carry out further releases in the coming days.

Anthony Henry made his AEW debut back in September of 2021 and he remains one-half of The WorkHorsemen with JD Drake. Henry is currently out of action following a jaw injury.

The Boys had been a part of AEW since 2021 and they reunited with Dalton Castle in the Summer of 2022 following Tony Khan's purchase of Ring of Honor. They were featured as part of Castle's programme with Johnny TV in recent months.

Stu Grayson's release ended his second run with AEW. He returned to the company in 2023 but hadn't wrestled for either of Tony Khan's promotions since Death Before Dishonor in July 2023.

Dasha Fuentes was the ring announcer on AEW Collision and at pay-per-views, sharing duties with Dynamite ring announcer Justin Roberts.

Initially compared to Brock Lesnar, Parker Boudreaux first worked for WWE as Harland before he was released in April 2022. He was signed by AEW later that year but hadn't been used by the promotion since March 2023 when he was part of Mogul Affiliates. Boudreaux recently made his debut in AAA.

The brother of Bandido, Gravity made his AEW debut in early 2023 and was sporadically used on TV, including in a match against PAC. Gravity was last used in Ring of Honor in February 2024.

Slim J was brought in by Tony Khan in 2022 as part of The Trustbusters. He last wrestled for ROH in March.

Jose the Assistant joined AEW in 2021 as the manager of Andrade El Idolo. He was also a major part of La Faccion Ingobernable alongside RUSH, Dralistico, and Preston Vance. Off-screen, Jose was a producer in AEW.

Jora Johl had been with AEW since 2021 and he was actually a part of the Hardy Family Office. Johl only had one match on AEW TV in a 16-man tag team match back in September 2021. He was last utilised in July 2023 in Ring of Honor.
