Vince McMahon Allegedly Coerced Janel Grant Into Writing Love Letter

Janel Grant was allegedly coerced into writing a love letter for Vince McMahon

In the latest development in the allegations against Vince McMahon from Janel Grant, the New York Post has obtained a letter which reveals that Grant sent McMahon a 2,200-word email love letter on December 24, 2021.

Among passages within the email, Grant calls McMahon "my best friend, my love and my everything" and she later states her admiration for McMahon for being the "most handsome, radiant, charismatic person in any room". Admiration is also expressed for McMahon's "eyes with the beautiful kaleidoscope of colors and your big beautiful vulnerable heart."

Grant also wrote: "After almost 3 years together, it's like my life isn't even real to me unless you're there and in it and I'm sharing it all with you."

The letter also referenced WWE President Nick Khan and WWE COO Brad Blum, who have been identified within Janel Grant's lawsuit against Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis as Corporate Officers No. 1 and 2. The letter states that Khan and Blum witness Grant and McMahon "act so sweetly together" while the email also says: "Whether it's your assistants, a chef, Brad, Nick, Johnny or whoever sees us together, I think it's undeniable to them - or anyone who sees us - that we are in love with a capital L."

Grant ended the letter by writing: "You, Vince McMahon, are THE ONE. For the yesterdays and todays and the tomorrows I can hardly wait for, thank you my sweet beast. My heart is yours - always and forever."

Grant's attorney Ann Callis, however, has alleged to the New York Post that McMahon actually instructed Grant to write the email.

"Frankly it's pretty disgusting that Vince's weeks-late attempt to defend his horrendous behaviour - behaviour he claims to this day never happened - is to try to showcase letters that Vince himself coerced her to write. His psychological torture of her continues - as is typical of abusive predators who respond to women speaking out with increased threats. While Janel isn't a stranger to his intimidation tactics, this is a new low even for him," Callis stated.

McMahon's attorney, Jessica Taub Rosenberg of Kasowitz Benson Torres has responded, claiming the allegation that McMahon coerced Grant into writing the letter is "revisionist history."

"No one coerced Ms. Grant to write that letter. She wrote it of her own accord. The fact that the letter shows it was the 24th draft speaks volumes. Nowhere in her voluminous complaint, that is replete with fabrications, does she mention being coerced into such behaviour. The language of the letter is consistent with other communications she made to Mr. McMahon over the course of their consensual relationship," Rosenberg added.

A spokesperson for Grant revealed on December 21, 2021 that Grant texted McMahon following surgery on her index finger and questioned how she would be able to write the letter.

"How will I write your letter?. I can type and read it...or try to write in a couple days. I'm so sorry if I mess this up, I want you to have a nice letter :(" Grant wrote.

Earlier in the text message exchange, McMahon stated: "Damn it. Sorry baby."

Grant's spokesperson has also claimed that love letters for McMahon were so common that Grant resorted to adding existing material from pop culture, including a passage from a GQ interview with Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly from October 2021. Other lines were taken verbatim from 'The Bishop's Wife', a 1947 movie.

Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis in January 2024 within which she accused McMahon of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and physical and emotional abuse. John Laurinaitis was accused of sexual assault and it is alleged WWE tried to cover up the allegations against McMahon.

Vince McMahon resigned as TKO Executive Chairman the day after Janel Grant filed the lawsuit. The 2,200-word email is expected to appear in filings as the lawsuit progresses, according to New York Post.

In addition to the Grant lawsuit, federal authorities are investigating McMahon over multiple allegations of sexual assault dating back to the 1980s.
