AEW Collision Tickets Moving 'Very Well' Since Debut Episode

CM Punk's return looks to have helped AEW move tickets for upcoming Collision tapings

Ticket sales for the AEW Collision tour of Canada have picked up since the debut episode aired on Saturday, June 17 from Chicago and saw the return of CM Punk.

AEW have struggled to move tickets for the tapings, with particular criticism aimed at the Thursday, June 29 Collision taping in Hamilton, Ontario which is only a 40-minute drive from Toronto, where AEW will hold a Collision taping on June 24 and Forbidden Door with New Japan Pro-Wrestling on June 25. The summer weather in Saskatchewan will also reportedly hamper ticket sales in the region.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has provided updated ticket sales figures for upcoming Collision shows, stating that "tickets have moved very well since Saturday in several markets." Over 3,000 tickets have been sold for the Toronto taping on June 24, well above the 1,800 tickets that had been sold as of June 13. The show in Hamilton has also moved more than 600 tickets since the introduction of a low-price ticket offer. The attendance is still not considered good as the show will be taking place in an NBA-sized arena but it is above the 883 tickets that had been sold as of one week ago.

There are currently no new updated figures for the tapings in Regina, Saskatchewan on July 8 and Calgary, Alberta on July 15. As of June 16, 3,501 tickets had been sold for the Calgary show, while 1,353 tickets had been sold for the Regina event as of June 12, according to WrestleTix.
