Report: Update On AEW Collision Ticket Sales

Have AEW Collision ticket sales improved?

It has been well documented that All Elite Wrestling have struggled to sell tickets for their early Collision shows in Canada, with the promotion set to hold shows in the Great White North between June 24 and July 15.

News of CM Punk's return to AEW on the June 17 episode of Collision failed to immediately boost ticket sales outside of Chicago and the situation has yet to greatly improve, with WrestleTix providing the latest figures. They are as follows:

  • Saturday, June 17 - United Center in Chicago, Illinois - 8,437 tickets sold
  • Saturday, June 24 - Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada - 1,871 tickets sold
  • Thursday, June 29 - FirstOntario Centre - Hamilton, Ontario, Canada - 883 tickets sold
  • Saturday, July 8 - Brandt Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada - 1,353 tickets sold
  • Saturday, July 15 - Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada - 3,501 tickets sold

The July 22 taping in Newark, New Jersey - Collision's first show in the United States since the scheduled debut in Chicago - has sold 4,378 tickets.

Particular criticism has been levelled at AEW's decision to run a Collision taping in Hamilton, with the show set to take place after a live episode of Collision on June 24 and AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on June 25 in Toronto, which is only a 40-minute drive away. It has previously been noted too that summer weather in Saskatchewan could be an impact as fans will choose to do other activities to make the most of the nice weather.
