Due to AEW Collision regularly airing on a Saturday night, the show has often had no choice but to go head to head with WWE’s premium live events, which take place mostly on Saturdays. Collision’s viewership often takes a big hit, especially when it comes to bigger shows such as the Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Money In The Bank, and Survivor Series.

This year, Collision will not be going head-to-head with WrestleMania 41 on either Saturday, April 19 or Sunday, April 20. Collision is often taped ahead of time, and it will be taking place on Thursday, April 17, prior to the weekend. Instead of airing the show on Saturday, it will instead take place live on the Thursday, avoiding any clash with WWE’s biggest yearly event.

This episode of Collision is promoted as ‘Spring Break Thru’, along with an episode of Dynamite the night prior, with shows held back to back at the MGM Music Hall in Boston, Massachusetts. Dynamite that week will mark AEW becoming the longest-running wrestling show on the Turner Network, overtaking WCW Monday Nitro.
