All Elite Wrestling are set to celebrate a history-making moment on the April 16 edition of Dynamite.
It was announced by Tony Schiavone during AEW Collision Slam Dunk Sunday that the April 16 episode of Dynamite from Boston, Massachusetts will be a special Spring BreakThru edition of the show to celebrate AEW Dynamite becoming the longest-running weekly primetime pro wrestling show in Turner Sports history.
While not mentioned by name, AEW will achieve the accomplishment by passing WCW Monday Nitro's episode count of 288 episodes. Nitro aired on TNT from 1995 until 2001 when WCW was purchased by WWE. Spring BreakThru will be the 289th episode of AEW Dynamite since the show premiered on TNT in October 2019. The show moved to TBS in 2022 and has been simulcast on Max since the beginning of 2025.
All Elite Wrestling's plans for Dynamite Spring BreakThru have yet to be revealed but AEW have seemingly been planning for the episode which will pass WCW Nitro for several weeks as the promotion filed to trademark 'Spring BreakThru' with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on March 7.
