Chris Bey made an emotional appearance at the FSW BEYnefit for Bey show in Las Vegas last night, walking to the ring under his own power following the main event.

It was Bey's first appearance at a wrestling show since suffering a catastrophic injury that left him paralysed last October.

After WWE star (and Bey's trainer) Karrion Kross defeated Hammerstone in the show-closer, Bey came out and walked to the ring with his partner Brittnie Brooks.

After embracing Kross and Hammerstone, he asked for his tag partner Ace Austin to come to the ring before addressing the crowd by saying:

"I'd be lying if I said I did it by myself because I truly and honestly believe that because of each and every one of you, and everybody in the back, that's the reason why I'm standing here right now.

"Love is a real thing and all my life, all I've ever truly, truly, truly loved - until I met her [Brittnie] - was professional wrestling and professional wrestling has given me the ability to be me and to be accepted for me and me and to connect with heroes, with idols, and with each and every one of you who has helped shape me into the man I am today. So for that, I must say thank you.

"But look around. Look left, look right, look behind you, in front of you. Look at the card we had tonight. That's the power of love.

"Thank you to all of you for creating this special night where people from everywhere around the world, all companies, all of you can create something so special that’s gonna live in history forever and live in my heart forever.

"This is a moment in time to take pictures, have joy, have happiness, don't be afraid to be emotional, don't be afraid to let your emotions show. I'm crying a lot in front of you; a lot of you have cried to me. I love you all, even AJ Francis [Laughter]. But I truly don't know what to say other than thank you.

"Until I figure out exactly what I want to say, I'm going to leave it at this. I love you. I thank you. I am nothing without you. Thank you".

The 29-year-old has not ruled out wrestling again.
