The identity of the new iteration of La Parka who debuted at AAA Rey de Reyes from Mexico City, Mexico on Saturday, March 22 has been revealed.
Dave Meltzer has reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that the third La Parka is Brazo de Oro Jr., part of the Alvarado wrestling dynasty which includes the likes of Brazo de Oro, Psycho Clown, and La Mascara. Brazo de Oro Jr. has been wrestling since 2013, according to Cagematch, and he has semi-regularly wrestled for AAA since late 2021.
The new La Parka made their debut at Rey de Reyes, being introduced by Vampiro before he appeared out of a coffin to Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' and danced on the entrance ramp. La Parka then appeared later in the show to hit a dive from a balcony and he will make his in-ring debut at AAA's Mexico City TV tapings on May 3.
Some considered the reintroduction of La Parka to be in poor taste as the second La Parka, Jesus Huerta Escoboza, passed away in January 2020 following an in-ring injury. La Parka II sustained the injury at a Kaoz show in October 2019 when they missed RUSH on a tope and hit the steel barrier and concrete floor head-first. Huerta was paralysed following the incident and he passed away as a result of his injuries.
The original La Parka - Adolfo Tapia - continues to wrestle to this day as LA Park.
