AEW Double Or Nothing Taking Place Sunday, May 30

It's the third annual

During Sunday night's AEW Revolution pay-per-view, a promo video confirmed that Double or Nothing 2021 will take place on Sunday night, May 30, emanating from Daily's Place in Jacksonville, FL.

Tony Khan had recently stated on AEW Unrestricted that he was toying with the idea of moving Double or Nothing to a Sunday. Tonight's Revolution is AEW's first Sunday pay-per-view, after running their pay-per-views exclusively on Saturdays since the company's inception.

This year's event was tentatively penciled in for Las Vegas, pending where things stood with the pandemic. Last year's Double or Nothing was also scheduled for Vegas, but understandably had to be moved out.

For the third consecutive year, Double or Nothing takes place on Memorial Day weekend in the United States. AEW's very first event was the inaugural Double or Nothing, on May 25, 2019. Highlights included the debut of Jon Moxley, and a legendary battle between Cody and Dustin Rhodes.

The 2020 Double or Nothing included the first ever Stadium Stampede match, and Moxley retaining the AEW World Heavyweight title over Brodie Lee.
