AEW Dynamite Beats WWE NXT For Sixth Straight Week, Albeit By Slimmest Margin Yet

Tight race...

With three days to go before Full Gear, AEW presented its first-ever go-home edition of Dynamite on TNT. While it won the night in terms of overall viewership over WWE NXT, the gap closed significantly.

Per Showbuzz Daily, AEW Dynamite averaged 822,000 viewers, up from the 759,000 it did a week ago against Game 7 of the World Series. That marks the second-lowest average that Dynamite has done since its premiere.

NXT on USA Network soared to 813,000 viewers, a drastic increase from the 580,000 from last week. That marks the highest total for the show since October 2, after which NXT finished below 800,000 every week until last night.

Intrigue from the Raw vs. SmackDown vs. NXT war headed into the November 24 Survivor Series, as well as the exposure that NXT received on Friday night's hastily-assembled edition of SmackDown, certainly played a part in elevating the show's profile.

AEW Dynamite ranked 8th for the night on cable in the 18-49 demographic with a 0.35 demo rating.

Meanwhile, NXT ranked 12th in the 18-49 demo with a 0.30 demo rating.
