AEW Dynamite Draws Worst Ratings In 18-49 Demo For Three Years

AEW Dynamite drops in the key demo

AEW Dynamite had a shock in the ratings in the United States this week, with the June 28 episode averaging the show's lowest viewership in the key 18-49 demo in three years.

Wrestlenomics reported that AEW Dynamite averaged 809,000 viewers and a 0.24 rating in the 18-49 demo, which was estimated to be 316,000 viewers. The show was AEW's lowest total viewership since May 3 and the lowest rating in the 18-49 demo while airing in its regular time slot of Wednesday nights between 8 pm and 10 pm ET since June 24, 2020.

Compared to last week, Dynamite was down 10 percent in total viewers and 28 percent in the demo. Wrestlenomics noted that Dynamite peaked early with 943,00 viewers for the opening quarter-hour that featured Jon Moxley vs. Tomohiro Ishii. Viewers continued to trickle away throughout the evening with the low point coming between 9:30-9:45 pm ET of 711,000. Viewership rose to 810,000 viewers for the final moments of Dynamite.

Despite the low ratings, AEW Dynamite finished #3 on cable. The NHL Draft on ESPN finished in the top spot with a 0.25 rating.
