AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday To Have 10-Minute Overrun

A longer episode of AEW Dynamite tonight

It's all about the ratings war, brother.

WWE NXT and AEW Dynamite will go head-to-head for the first time in 2023 on Tuesday, October 10 due to Dynamite being moved from its regular night of Wednesday for coverage of the Major League Baseball Playoffs on TBS.

Both shows are looking to score the ratings victory, with NXT first loading up the show by announcing that John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Paul Heyman, and Asuka will all be involved on NXT in some capacity. The Undertaker has also been teased for NXT and he is expected to be at the WWE Performance Center today. That isn't all, though, and the first 30 minutes of NXT will be commercial-free.

AEW Dynamite have announced a special Title Tuesday edition of their flagship show and matches announced include Adam Copeland vs. Luchasaurus, Rey Fenix vs. Jon Moxley for the AEW International Title, and Saraya vs. Hikaru Shida for the AEW World Tag Team Championships. Bryan Danielson will also go one-on-one with Swerve Strickland for a shot at the TNT Championship.

In retaliation to NXT being commercial-free, Tony Khan has announced that AEW Dynamite will be doing the same. Khan also announced Eddie Kingston vs. Minoru Suzuki for a special Buy-In on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube before Dynamite goes live and Title Tuesday will also be longer than usual, with Fightful Select reporting that AEW have secured a 10-minute overrun for Dynamite.

This will likely help AEW as they attempt to try and at least draw with WWE NXT in the ratings on the WWE brand's regular night.
