AEW Dynamite Wins Head To Head With WWE NXT For Third Straight Week, Overall Viewership Drops

Both shows trickle down...

Both shows saw another decrease in viewership, but on the whole, AEW Dynamite still maintains a strong position over its NXT counterpart.

Per Showbuzzdaily, Dynamite managed 1,014,000 viewers for its two hour broadcast, an 11 percent drop from the 1,140,000 for last week's broadcast, which encompassed two channels (TNT and TruTV), due to MLB playoff coverage.

NXT falls to a series low of 712,000 viewers, down ten percent from the 790,000 from a week ago.

The 1,726,000 viewers from both shows is down 10.5 percent from last week's 1,930,000 combined viewers.

AEW finished fifth on the night in cable among viewers 18 to 49, and second among males 18 to 49 (behind only an NBA pre-season special on ESPN).

NXT finished 30th on cable in the same 18-49 demo, and 17th among males 18-49.

For the night, once again, Dynamite defeated NXT in every demo except in people over 50.

With the NBA regular season premiere on ESPN next week (featuring the Boston Celtics vs. Philadelphia 76ers in the first part of a double-header), another drop for both shows is likely expected.
