Cain Velasquez To Team With Rey Mysterio At WWE Mexico City House Show

A rather potent duo...

WWE announced on Friday that Cain Velasquez and Rey Mysterio are set to team together at a live event in Mexico City next month.

The event takes place on Saturday, November 30 at Arena Ciudad de Mexico, and will include stars of both Raw and SmackDown.

Mysterio and Velasquez's opponents are not known at this time.

In the same venue this past August, Velasquez made his pro wrestling debut. It was at AAA TripleMania XXVII on August 3 that he, Cody Rhodes, and Psycho Clown defeated El Texano Jr, Killer Kross, and Taurus.

Velasquez made his WWE debut alongside Mysterio on the premiere episode of SmackDown on FOX, flanking the legendary junior heavyweight as they confronted new WWE champion Brock Lesnar.

The two former UFC opponents are scheduled to wrestle for the WWE title at Crown Jewel in Riyadh on October 31.

Velasquez signed a multi-year deal with WWE this month, while officially retiring from MMA. The 37-year-old former two-time UFC Heavyweight champion last fought in February, losing quickly via knockout to Francis Ngannou.
