AEW Expected To Be In The Market For WWE Main Roster Talents

AEW will look to bring in some WWE main roster talents if they receive a big media rights increase

Could some WWE main roster talents be set to make the jump to All Elite Wrestling in 2024?

While AEW has struggled in the United States when it comes to ticket sales, the promotion has had a very successful 2023 and is expected to finish the year with between $170 - 175 million in revenue, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has reported. Revenue looks set to only go up in 2024 as the AEW media rights deal with Warner Bros. Discovery is up next year and the expectation is the company will receive an increase on their current deal for Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision. A streaming deal with WBD might also be completed next year.

Meltzer noted the feeling is that if AEW secures a significant increase for their United States media rights they will be in the market for at least some of WWE's main roster talents and the organisation would be able to afford to poach them. This would differ from certain points in recent years when AEW didn't make big money offers to some WWE talents who had expiring deals as it didn't financially make sense.

Many talents might end up remaining with WWE, though, as the company is reportedly offering talent big-money extensions following the completion of the merger with UFC under TKO.
