AEW Not Holding Talks With Anthony Bowens & Max Caster Over New Contracts

It appears more and more likely that Anthony Bowens and Max Caster will become free agents in early October.

The former Acclaimed's AEW deals are set to expire on October 1 and Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp has reported there have not been any negotiations over new deals for Caster and Bowens. It is unknown if new deals will be offered by All Elite Wrestling to the two talents, with Fighful noting things appear to be quiet on that front.

Anthony Bowens and Max Caster have been a part of All Elite Wrestling since 2020, with the duo being signed in order to team together as The Acclaimed. Bowens and Caster enjoyed plenty of success together as a team with one reign as AEW World Tag Team Champions, as well as one reign with the AEW World Trios Titles alongside Billy Gunn.

The Acclaimed split in January 2025 and the former tag team briefly feuded before a reunion was teased throughout the second half of 2025 until the angle was quietly dropped.

Max Caster has not wrestled for AEW since December 2025, while Anthony Bowens has continued to be featured on AEW TV in a storyline that saw him eventually join The Opps in April. Bowens' most recent match saw him eat the pin in an eight-man tag team match at the AEW All In 2026 pre-show as The Opps were defeated by Lio Rush and The Rascalz.

With The Acclaimed's pro wrestling futures unclear, reports have noted that WWE at the very least have some interest in Anthony Bowens.
