Nyla Rose Doesn't Think Tony Khan Is The Reason For Her AEW Absence

Tony Khan is the owner, president, CEO, and head booker of All Elite Wrestling, but Nyla Rose doesn't believe Khan is the reason for her long-running absence from AEW TV.

"No. I genuinely don't think it's him. I genuinely, genuinely don't think it’s him. You know how they say trust your gut. And this isn't me just, like, glazing him because he’s my boss or anything like that. It’s just, there may be some things I can’t talk about or, like, things I can only speculate on, but, like, in my heart of hearts, just the relationship that we have and, like, the conversations that we have, I don’t think it’s him, you know? And not even the fact that he’s just nice. He’s genuine, right? Like, he’s not really one to, like, tell you what you want to hear, you know?" Rose said on Krazy Train podcast.

"He’ll, if it’s what doesn’t need to be or what can’t be, he’ll tell you. He absolutely will be like, ‘No, that’s not going to happen.’ Like, there’s been a lot of times I’m in the office and I’m like, ‘Hey, Tony, let’s do this.’ He’s like, ‘No, we’re not doing that. We’re just no.’ And I’m like, ‘Okay, you got it, boss.’ Here, I have an idea. Get hit by a car for, like, four years. He’s like, ‘He won’t let me get hit by a car.’ He’s like, ‘No, we’re not going to hit you with a car.’ I’m like, ‘It would be great. It would be so good. Like, I can do it. I’ve done it in film. Like, let me get hit by a car.’ He’s like, ‘No.'"

Nyla Rose has not performed on AEW TV for 22 months, with her last match being on the November 22, 2024 edition of AEW Rampage when Rose teamed with Harley Cameron in a loss to Mariah May and Mina Shirakawa. Rose admitted earlier this month that she has found the situation "a little frustrating."

The exact reason for Rose's absence from AEW programming is unknown beyond that she is not injured, having wrestled 32 matches, including as recently as September 18, since her last televised AEW match.
