AEW Not In The Running To Sign Giulia
Giulia is not considering a move to AEW
The future of Giulia is one of the more intriguing stories heading into 2024, with the former World of Stardom Champion and current reigning NJPW Strong Women’s Champion set to decide her next steps due to her contract apparently coming up very soon.
There are multiple different scenarios when it comes to where Giulia will end up, but according to a report by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it is unlikely that she will be showing up in AEW. Meltzer notes that “AEW has never made a serious play for her and she’s had no conversation with AEW and is not considering them.” Whether it be a case of Giulia simply being uninterested or if it is more down to AEW choosing against pursuing her, the more likely destination for Giulia will be WWE or deciding to remain in Japan.
She has achieved a lot of success in recent years in Japan, so it would not be a surprise to see her commit to extending her stay, though the pull of WWE could prove to be a big factor if they decide to approach her.
