It has been known for some time that AEW have had their eyes on Zayda Steel, who exited WWE’s ID program last year. It was believed a few months back that Steel would end up signing with AEW after the promotion showed interest in her, bringing her in for some ROH/AEW TV tapings. She is now officially “All Elite”.

After showing up in some segments alongside the Sky Flight faction, Zayda Steel made her official in-ring AEW debut last night on AEW Collision, losing out to The Death Riders’ Marina Shafir. In the aftermath, Tony Khan took to social media to make the official announcement that she had signed a deal with AEW and was now a member of the roster.

The 22 year old made her in-ring debut back in 2022 before climbing the ranks in the independent scene, wrestling in the likes of GCW and Marigold, eventually joining WWE’s ID program, wrestling on WWE Evolve for a few months until she made the decision to part ways with the company, exiting at the same time as several releases.
