One of the surprises during the debut of TNA Impact on AMC on Thursday was the arrival of Elayna Black, the former Cora Jade in WWE, officially signing with the promotion, being announced by fellow new arrival, Daria Rae (the former Sonya Deville). Some more details have now emerged regarding her signature with TNA.
Fightful Select have revealed that Elayna Black has penned a one-year contract with TNA that goes through 2026, and she is scheduled to be a full-time member of the roster. This comes despite a recent six-month absence from the ring, last competing in July of last year on the independent circuit.
Black has previously wrestled in TNA, working in the promotion briefly at the start of 2025 as a part of the new WWE-TNA working relationship, competing against the likes of Hyan, Xia Brookside, Masha Slamovich, and Lei Ying Lee. She also wrestled one match back in 2019 against Havok. She was released from WWE in May of last year alongside a host of other names from WWE developmental, revealing at the time that she was open to joining AEW. Fightful noted that they had not heard of any discussions with other promotions.
