AEW On TV Accidentally Tweet Johnny Gargano During Johnny Elite's Debut

The wrong Johnny was mentioned

All Elite Wrestling tweeted the wrong Johnny during Wednesday's episode of Dynamite.

Samoa Joe faced a mystery 'Joker' opponent in his opening match of the Owen Hart Foundation Men's Tournament and several names were tipped to be in the cup, including Johnny Gargano, John Morrison, Cesaro, and Miro.

It was ultimately John Morrison who faced Joe, making his AEW debut as Johnny Elite in the process, but the AEW on TV Twitter account got their Johnnys mixed up as they accidentally tweeted "@JohnnyGargano is here" along with an image of Elite before quickly deleting the post.

Johnny Elite and Samoa Joe went on to have a competitive match on Dynamite and The Samoan Submission Machine picked up the win after blocking Starship Pain and following up with a Muscle Buster. There is no word on if Johnny Elite has signed with AEW.

Johnny Gargano, meanwhile, has been a free agent since his WWE contract expired in December of 2021. He is currently taking time off following the birth of his and Candice LeRae's son, Quill.
