SPOILER: Former WWE Talent Debuts At AEW Rampage Taping

A former WWE Superstar debuted in All Elite Wrestling during Wednesday's Rampage taping. 

The May 20 episode of Rampage was taped following a live edition of Dynamite and it was announced that Shawn Spears would face a mystery opponent on the show. That opponent was ultimately Big Damo, The Beast Of Belfast who performed in WWE as Killian Dain. 

Damo's debut wouldn't end happily, though, and Spears picked up the win ahead of his Steel Cage Match against Wardlow on next week's edition of AEW Dynamite.

Spears and Damo do have history from their time in WWE and The Chairman when he was Tye Dillinger feuded with SAnitY in 2017 on NXT. 

Damo performed for WWE from 2016 until his release in June 2021, primarily in SAnitY where he became a one-time NXT Tag Team Champion. He has since performed for New Japan Pro-Wrestling in the United States, as well as various independent wrestling promotions, including PROGRESS, DEFY, Black Label Pro, and Control Your Narrative.
