Report: Kenny Omega Backstage At Recent AEW TV Tapings
AEW’s Kenny Omega has been out of action all year
Whilst reports suggest that Kenny Omega may still be some way off making an in-ring return, the former AEW World Champion has made a physical return to AEW, with the EVP having been backstage at recent AEW TV tapings.
A report from PWInsider states that Omega has been backstage for several weeks, and has been working on behind the scenes matters, as well as reportedly having a hand in booking matches for AEW’s women’s division.
Indeed, on the most recent episode of Being The Elite, Omega’s name could be seen on a private locker room door alongside The Young Bucks, although this was in the background and no mention or sighting of Omega was made in the episode.
Omega has been out of action since dropping the AEW World Championship to ‘Hangman’ Adam Page at AEW Full Gear on November 13 2021, with Omega taking time off to recuperate from several major injuries, including a bout of vertigo.
There is currently no timetable for Omega’s return to in-ring competition.
