AEW Planning Major Push For Mariah May

Mariah May to receive a major AEW push

All Elite Wrestling have big plans for one of their newest signings.

Mariah May officially became All Elite on the November 8 edition of Dynamite and the former Goddess of Stardom Champion has been linked to "Timeless" Toni Storm so far, with May being presented as somewhat of a superfan for Storm. May managed to secure a meeting with her idol on Wednesday night's Dynamite but Storm blew her off, saying she didn't have time for autographs at the moment.

This is the start of a major push for Mariah May, with Dave Meltzer reporting on Wrestling Observer Radio the plan for the programme with Toni Storm is to build May into "a top star" and the two former Stardom talents will eventually feud in a featured programme on AEW TV.

"Mariah, the idea of this programme, I know a lot of people don't like the Mariah debut and everything like that, and obviously it may not work, but the idea of this Mariah programme is to get Mariah to be a top star. It's not like they're bringing her in to be Willow Nightingale, you know what I mean? Who should be a top star and isn't... The idea obviously is Mariah and Toni Storm is a top feud in the women's division," Meltzer said.

The rumoured programme could even be over the AEW Women's World Championship. Toni Storm is set to challenge Hikaru Shida for the women's title at Full Gear on November 18 and Storm is the bookies' favourite to walk away with the championship.
