AEW Planning To Hold Major Event In Dallas Area In 2025

Major AEW event planned for Dallas/Arlington in 2025

All Elite Wrestling have major plans in the works.

According to Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp, AEW are planning to run a "major-scale event" in the Dallas/Arlington area in 2025. There is no word on when the show may take place but it was teased by numerous sources with knowledge of the situation that AEW's major event could be a stadium show on par with "AEW's biggest event."

All Elite Wrestling would have plenty of stadiums to choose from in the Dallas area. AT&T Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys, had around 80,000 fans in attendance for WWE WrestleMania 32, while Cotton Bowl Stadium has a capacity of 92,000. Other possible venues could be Globe Life Field, the home of the Texas Rangers, which can hold over 40,000 fans. Smaller stadiums in the area include Gerald R. Ford Stadium which can hold 32,000 fans and Toyota Stadium with a capacity of 20,500.

Should all go well, the AEW major event could be made official by the end of the year. The promotion has already struck up a relationship with local authorities in the Dallas/Arlington area and AEW will have a summer residency at Arlington's Esports Stadium with episodes of AEW Collision, ROH Death Before Dishonor, and ROH TV set to be taped at the arena from July 20 until August 17.
