AEW Rampage Draws Lowest Ratings In Show History

A tough night in the ratings for AEW Rampage

AEW Rampage's viewership suffered greatly after the show was moved to an earlier timeslot on Friday, May 6.

Rampage usually airs at 10 pm ET on Friday nights but the May 6 episode was moved to 5:30 pm ET as a result of the network's coverage of the NHL Playoffs.

The preempted show only averaged 292,000 total viewers, of which 143,000 were in the key 18-49 demographic, according to Wrestlenomics. That was enough to draw a 0.11 rating.

Both figures were historic lows for the Friday night show since it debuted in August of 2021. The previous low was on March 18, when the show was preempted to an 11:48 pm ET start time. That episode averaged 398,000 viewers and a 0.13 rating in the 18-49 demo.

On the night, Rampage finished #49 for cable originals, according to Showbuzz Daily

The ratings may not improve for the May 13 edition of Rampage either, with the show being preempted again. The episode is scheduled to air at 6 pm ET on Friday.
