Update On Roman Reigns' WWE Schedule After Signing New Deal

Less Roman Reigns on WWE TV soon?

The new phase of Roman Reigns' life is set to begin soon.

Following a promo over the weekend at a house show in which the WWE Universal Champion noted he might not be back in Trenton, New Jersey, due to 'starting a new phase' in his life, it emerged that Reigns has signed a new WWE deal that allows him to work far fewer dates than before.

When exactly this new phase would begin was unclear, especially since The Tribal Chief is the reigning WWE Universal Champion and the company's top star.

Reigns will seemingly be working less dates while WWE Universal Champion, though, and PWInsider noted the 36-year-old is not advertised for any WWE TV shows or live events in July or August except for the Money In The Bank and SummerSlam pay-per-views.

Both of those events are scheduled to take place in July.

Furthermore, Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Reigns' last event will be on June 19 and The Big Dog's status for Money In The Bank and SummerSlam hasn't been confirmed beyond that he is advertised to at least appear.

How WWE will book the world championship while Reigns is away from TV remains to be seen. WWE have had part-time world champions in the past, though, most notably with Brock Lesnar.
