AEW Rampage: New Years Smash Spoilers

All the spoilers and results for Friday's AEW Rampage

Following AEW’s live broadcast of AEW Dynamite last night, a set of tapings were held for the upcoming episode of AEW Rampage, which will air on Friday, December 29. The show was held in Orlando, Florida from the Addition Financial Arena, and it helped to finalise some of the build for this Saturday’s Worlds End PPV event.

  • Chris Jericho opened up AEW Rampage, reflecting on his reunion with Sammy Guevara, who returned on Dynamite. Guevara came out to apologise for turning on Jericho a few months back, explaining how he didn’t want to be in Jericho’s shadow. Jericho also apologised, and the pair made amends. It was revealed during this segment that the scheduled AEW World Tag Team Title match at Worlds End has been changed to an eight-man tag, also featuring Sting, Darby Allin, Kyle Fletcher, and Powerhouse Hobbs. 
  • ROH Pure Rules: Wheeler Yuta defeats Matt Sydal - (Danhausen made himself a judge for this Pure Rules match, which led to Yuta attacking him. Hook made the save)
  • Ruby Soho defeated Marina Shafir
  • Top Flight & Action Andretti defeated Orange Cassidy, Trent Beretta, & Rocky Romero
