WWE Attitude Era Star Makes AEW In-Ring Debut

An AEW dark match featured a star from WWE's Attitude Era

A surprising name from WWE’s Attitude Era showed up last night in Orlando, Florida for the AEW’s Dynamite and Rampage tapings. Scotty 2 Hotty (now competing as Scott Taylor) made a shock appearance in front of some elated fans, showing up to team with The Acclaimed as they competed against The Gunns, Jake Hager, and Matt Menard in an eight-man tag team match.

This was a dark match prior to the live AEW Dynamite show. Interestingly, Scotty came out to his classic “Too Cool” entrance music that he used in WWE as part of the popular trio with Grand Master Sexay and Rikishi. He is no stranger to AEW as a whole, working as a producer in a backstage capacity in recent times, but he was given the chance to compete in the ring last night.

Scotty has been competing regularly on the independent scene over the last couple of years after receiving his release from WWE in 2021 after working as a trainer in the Performance Center.
